On the 4th of June, Obama talked about working together to secure world peace.
Teamworking always sounds great and inclusive.

This is Hammersmith Bridge.
When I go to Hillsong on Sundays, I take a bus and a tube.
The bus will go across the Thames River on this bridge.

Sunday - praise Jesus for this is a day that The Lord has made for us to worship Him.
Celebrated Jesus at Hillsong Church.
Went with others to Russell Park for lunch, as usual.
Will pass by The British Museum - took a foto in front of a pair of stone lions
It was taken by a small boy of barely 7 years!
(His dad did a poor job, so I gave it to junior and it turned out a splendid job - just check out the composition!)

26Jun09
- Today is the final day of a 5-day course on effective communication.
- Glad it is over - each trip to Hendon - bus, tube, tube - alone is 2hrs.
- Nevertheless, it was an enriching course, including a 'teaching practice'.
- The newspapers' headlines featured the deaths of Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett.
- During the course, we saw a video of a class learning John Keats' Ode to Autumn
- As Keats described it, autumn is so transcient
- So are tomorrows - they are so unpredictable, temporal and flimsy
- Left the university with a somewhat weary soul
- So many questions
- Did Michael and Farrah put their trust in Jesus?
- What lies ahead after this course? And after my studies?
- Praise Abba - I remember the lilies and the beautifully paved walk on my way in this morning
- Because my Abba promises that He will all the more take care of me, as He has for the lilies of the fields; and that my path in Christ Jesus will shine brighter and brighter - I need not worry about tomorrows ...
- Then the Holy Spirit led me to look at the bulletin board outside Hendon Methodist Church.
- On it is a picture of a sunrise and a verse: Jer 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you
declares The Lord
plans to prosper you and not to harm you
plans to give you hope and a future"
-What a glorious appointment to read God's Word in the midst of my questions
- The verse imparted tremendous rest and edification for my soul and spirit!
Praise Jesus!

Saw superman and batman at shepherd's green - and was delighted when they obliged for a photo, with a super pose ... and without batting an eyelid!

An off-beat photo. This totally discoloured banana peel on the roadside bears witness to the dry, cool, yet sunny weather now during the summer in UK. Quirky idea to take a photo of a discarded banana skin strewn by the curbside - but that's me!

The baby goslings have grown up to be nearly like their parents' colour now, except they still have some gosling fuzz on their backs.

The British are so proud of their gardens and dedicated to their flowers. For summer, the gardening services came in and took out the wisteria and planted the climbing rose bush - gorgeous!

The public, media and political opponents are outraged that the government has released copies of claims associated with the current MPs' expenses scandal but censored details so that MPs and their misdeeds will not be revealed. Even PM Gordon Brown and his predecessor Tony Blair have some hanky panky in this claims scandal.
A lady attending the Royal Ascott horse races this week parodied the scandal by wearing a hat with a card that says: I paid for this hat on expenses.

Like the Dutch, British people like to bike - but because there are few well integrated bicycle lanes, the number of cyclists is comparably much less, and they are more at risk. They also ride fiercely, unlike Dutch cyclists who are more genteel.

- Celebrated Sunday at Hillsong Church
- Never tire of the lyrics - Jesus - You are everything I need
- Chris spoke of the precious relationship that we have with Abba in Jer 32:38
"They will be my people and I will be their God
I will give them singleness of heart and action so that they will always fear Me for their own good and the good of their children after them.
I will never stop doing good to them
and I will inspire them to fear Me
so that they will never turn away from me.
I will rejoice in doing them good
and will assuredly plant them in this land with all my heart and soul"
-What a loving, gracious and blessed Abba Father!

Roehampton University was formed from a merging of a few teacher training colleges, most of them having Christian boards. One of them is the Digby Stuart College. This sculpture is found in the courtyard of the college and the engraving says: Through the servioce of education, we discover and make known the love of Christ.

Interesting article in the papers about a rat boldly eating a zoo leopard's lunch, ignoring the predator completely and even refusing to budge when the big cat gave a nudge. Somehow, the caged cat has lost all its killer instincts - either that or it had become a curious cat.
