"Mind the gap" is the ubiquitous annoucement over the public address system for train and tube passengers to be careful of the gap between carriage and platform when they disembark.
There are t-shirts, fridge magnets, and other mementoes featuring this phrase.

Witty headline: Bet Cheryl caught a Cole in that.
Cheryl Cole and husband Ashley Cole are so-called celebrities.

The papparazzi were cruel to insinuate that Obama's eyes wandered inappropriately to a certain anatomical part belonging to a stunning redhead. But from what I analyzed, if you look carefully at his line of sight - he was looking to find out whether she is wearing heels or not - since she appeared rather tall and he was just curious if her height was natural or assisted by stilettoes.

The proverbial straw that broke a camel's back came true for a role model teacher who went berserk after continued taunting by his pupils, especially one of them, and attacked him with a metal object. Very sad, but it reflects the rowdiness of some pupils today.

Little gifts make such a significant blessing. This multi coloured ballpoint pen is a gift from Carolina and Linda during one of the teachers' day. It is helping me greating in taking notes in red, blue, black and green - for my Bible study and for my academic notes.
Praise Jesus for great friends, little gifts but wonderful blessings.

The rosetta stone is one of the key exhibits at the British Museum. It recorded an occasion in Egypt and the inscriptions on the stone helped scholars to further decipher hieroglyphics.

- Saw and photographed this scene in the London metro. A culture lesson for me to learn.
- Do you see and feel what I saw and felt?
- In the English context, it is perfectly ok to direct the soles of your shoes at another person.
- I guess it should also be ok here to direct your the soles of your bare feet at another person, say at home, in the garden, at the beach, etc.
- In the Asian context, this is considered not so courteous, yes?
- I'm learning new things every day.
- And accepting things that I cannot change.

Last Sunday after Hillsong Church and picnic lunch at Russell Park, passed by the British Museum and went in briefly. But what caught my eye was something outside. Marigolds. Made me remember how mother loved marigolds - she loved the auspicious gold colour that brightens any room. It is a must in vases during Chinese New Years and celebrative occasions.
Mother and marigolds - marvelous memories.
Thank Abba for marigolds.
Praise Abba for my mother, who, with papa now, are with Christ Jesus in heaven.
Abba is The Promise Maker and The Promise Keeper.
In Acts 16:31, He promised Voon-Cheng: Believe in The Lord Jesus, and you will be saved - you and your household.
As He had promised it, He enabled it in 2002 for both my loving parents.
Hallelujah, all glory to Christ Jesus and His Finished Work at the cross!
Nothing but the Grace of Abba Father!

Last Sunday, after Hillsong Church, went with Tracy to Russell Park for picnic lunch. Passed by this interesting new wooden sculpture. Looks organic and fluid. If it has been purposely crafted to be top heavy, and bottom light, it may give it a sensation of lightness and floatingness - and may make it more unique. But of course, the designers need to consider the safety of it not toppling over too.

After I've arrived in London, I was amazed to learn that beneath the street level, London's got another subterranean city. It is the city of the underground metro trains, also called the tube. It is highly sophisticated, consisting of an intricate system of underground rail (not to be mixed up with the train rail overground) networks, interchanges and stations, run on a tight time schedule, with continuous information broadcast to commuters about disruptions, repairs, delays, etc. This city reaches a few levels below ground surface. If one is not familiar with English, one can really get lost in directions.

Duncan Bannatyne, a self made billionaire in the fitness industry, has set up an orphanage in Africa. He thinks that stars who cherry-pick children to adopt is doing the larger community a disservice. He believes that Madonna is able to provide a wonderful life for Mercy, "but if you can help ten children and give them a better life in their own country, it might be less glamorous, but isn't that a preferred solution?"
Moreover, if adopters "select the cutest orphans, adopting only those who don't have HIV or oher serious longterm illnesses, then all that's left are children nobody wants or with incurable diseases. So you leave behind a situation of even greater despair than you arrived."

A guy, suspected of killing his girlfriend, was set free a few years ago. The law of double jeopardy prevents him from being charged with the same crime after that. However, he attacked his current girlfriend recently. The law has also by this time allowed the police to charge a person for the same crime if fresh evidence surface. So he was charged and jailed. The laws of this world can be flexible.
But God's law is the gold standard. Jesus took our place, was charged with all our past, present and future sins, and He bore the penalty with His Life and His Blood. God will never ever charge us never ever again, no matter how much the devil digs up fresh evidence, or our stumblings create new evidence. God says there is no double jeopardy for us in Christ Jesus! Hallelujah!

This mother duck had given birth to a large brood of ducklings. You may not agree, but believe you me that many of them were practising diving under water, so what you see here is probably half its number. I don't see the daddy duck, so I think the ducks are like cheetahs (and others I'm sure) in which after mating, the males conveniently delegate the bringing up of their young to the mothers. When I throw bread into the lake, the geese will even attack these little ducklings with their strong beaks. The little ones will give out a shrill cry then struggle off and dive into the water and resurface a distance away. Survival strategy: flee from danger. If the geese attack the ducklings too often, mommy duck will give an angry squawk and nip the geese - although it does so at great risk to itself too, for the geese will retaliate in quick fashion too.
Ahh ... it's a tough life for our feathered friends.
