We went to the Town Hall Municipality to register ourselves and to apply for Residence Permits. By regulation, we all underwent an x-ray to as a test for tuberculosis. ABBA's word assured me that I shall not fear the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday! At the municipality hall and the x-ray centre, I observed that all Dutch government agencies are very hospitable - they all have a tea and coffee kiosk where you can help yourself to a cuppa!
