After I've arrived in London, I was amazed to learn that beneath the street level, London's got another subterranean city. It is the city of the underground metro trains, also called the tube. It is highly sophisticated, consisting of an intricate system of underground rail (not to be mixed up with the train rail overground) networks, interchanges and stations, run on a tight time schedule, with continuous information broadcast to commuters about disruptions, repairs, delays, etc. This city reaches a few levels below ground surface. If one is not familiar with English, one can really get lost in directions.
